Role Overview:

Driven by a mission to revolutionize online education through wit and high-impact storytelling, we are seeking a versatile and sharp-witted Creative Content Writer to join our team. This role acts as the primary architect of our brand’s voice, moving fluidly between conversion-focused web copy, high-retention social media scripts, and “edutaining” course content. Unlike traditional copywriters, you will blend behavioral psychology and instructional design with satire to transform complex topics into captivating, memorable experiences. The ideal candidate is a digital native who avoids marketing clichés and knows how to leverage AI as a productivity tool while maintaining a human-first, original creative edge. This remote position operates on US Pacific Time Zone hours. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Multi-Format Narrative Writing: Lead the end-to-end creation of high-impact content, seamlessly pivoting between persuasive web copy, high-retention social scripts (Reels/TikTok/YouTube), and “edutaining” online course modules. 
  • Comedy-Infused Content Design: Script and edit content that uses satire, “pattern interrupts,” and comedic timing to make complex learning topics captivating and viral-worthy. 
  • Psychological Influence & Persuasion: Integrate behavioral psychology principles (e.g., social proof, scarcity, and cognitive ease) into marketing copy to reduce decision friction and drive measurable conversions. 
  • Instructional Storytelling: Translate dry, technical subject matter into memorable, conversational learning experiences by applying instructional design principles like scaffolding and active recall within a narrative framework. 
  • Brand Voice Ownership: Act as the guardian of our “Human-First” brand identity, ensuring every piece of content is unique, authentic, and avoids stale marketing clichés. 
  • Visual-First Scriptwriting: Craft video scripts that don’t just provide dialogue but dictate visual pacing, on-screen text cues, and “the hook” to optimize for platform-specific algorithms and audience retention. 
  • Strategic AI Orchestration: Leverage AI tools as a “creative co-pilot” to rapidly brainstorm and prototype outlines while applying heavy human-led editing to ensure 100% original, plagiarism-free, and satire-rich final outputs. 
  • Collaborative Creative Direction: Work cross-functionally with videographers, designers, and subject matter experts to ensure the written word is enhanced by visual assets and aligns with the overall business strategy. 
  • Performance-Driven Iteration: Analyze engagement data and audience feedback to “trim the fat” from existing content, ruthlessly editing for impact and clarity to maximize both learning outcomes and marketing ROI. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in creative writing, with a specific focus on cross-platform storytelling (e.g., social media, video scripts, learning content, and/or marketing copy). 
  • Experience in Information Design: Ability to take complex concepts and distill them into clear, conversational, and digestible scripts and other forms of content. 
  • Strong “Outside-the-Box” Thinking: You actively avoid marketing “clichés” and “old-school” templates, opting instead for authentic, human-centric narratives. 
  • AI-Augmented Workflow: Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to accelerate research and drafting while ensuring all final output is human-verified, plagiarism-free, and grounded in original creative thought. 
  • Ability to manage the creative lifecycle: From brainstorming and conceptualizing to final editing and performance analysis. 
  • Excellent communication skills: You can defend your creative choices to stakeholders and translate technical business goals into engaging consumer-facing content. 
  • Digital Native: Deep understanding of current trends, platform algorithms (YouTube, Reels, TikTok), and how audience behavior differs across them. 
  • Commitment to “The Edit”: A ruthless eye for detail and the ability to trim the fat from scripts to maximize impact. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, Screenwriting, or a related field. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: You are a collaborative creator who can brainstorm with designers, videographers, and subject matter experts. 

Bonus Points if you have: 

  • Direct response marketing experience: You know how to drive a “Click” without sounding like a salesperson. 
  • Portfolio of “Viral” or High-Engagement Content: Proven success in creating content that sparked conversation or significant community growth. 
  • Experience in UX Writing and/or Behavioral Psychology: Understanding why people click, watch, and learn.
