Position Overview

IMPROVLearning is seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and analytical Compliance Coordinator to support our Compliance Department. This role is critical to ensuring our operations remain compliant with regulatory, licensing, and corporate requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will manage licensing deadlines and renewals, support regulatory filings, maintain accurate compliance records, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies. Just as importantly, this person must be able to read and interpret statutes, regulations, and agency requirements, identify operational impact, and translate those requirements into clear, actionable next steps for the business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on accuracy and follow-through, and can turn complex regulatory information into organized, practical action.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Compliance Coordinator at IMPROVLearning, you will play a key role in helping the organization meet industry standards and regulatory obligations. Responsibilities include:

  • Research regulatory, licensing, and filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Read and interpret laws, regulations, agency guidance, and licensing requirements, then translate them into actionable business requirements and internal next steps.
  • Maintain active licenses by tracking deadlines, preparing renewal materials, compiling submissions, and ensuring timely completion of all requirements.
  • Monitor, prepare, and submit required reports, applications, and documentation to regulatory authorities accurately and on time.
  • Track regulatory changes and communicate updates, risks, and action items to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to implement compliance-related process or documentation changes.
  • Respond to internal teams, external agencies, and select partners with professionalism, clarity, and urgency.
  • Report and maintain meticulous records related to licensing, reporting, compliance documentation, and other industry-related materials in accordance with statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Support internal audits and external inspections by gathering materials, coordinating responses, and ensuring documentation is complete and organized.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that strengthen compliance operations, visibility, and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a highly organized administrative or compliance professional who can manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality. They excel at:

  • Managing documentation and compliance processes with accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to detail.
  • Reading complex regulations or agency requirements and breaking them down into clear, actionable items for internal teams.
  • Juggling competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and following through to completion.
  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining accountability for compliance-related deliverables.
  • Adapting quickly to new systems, tools, and changing regulatory requirements.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Bringing a mindset of ownership, critical thinking, and continuous improvement to day-to-day work.

Experience Requirements

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • 1+ years of experience in compliance, licensing, regulatory, administrative, legal support, or a related field.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, or applying regulations, statutes, licensing requirements, or government agency procedures.
  • Ability to translate regulatory language into practical business actions, documentation requirements, and implementation steps.
  • Experience working with government entities, courts, traffic programs, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to quickly learn business systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
